As you exit the terminal, you’ll met by our representative welcoming you officially to Dubai. You’ll be taken to the hotel in an air conditioned vehicle for your first night in Dubai.

Day 2

You’ll start the day with breakfast at your hotel.

Soon after we’ll depart on a busy day of discovering the spectacular and lively metropolis of Dubai. Developed from a small fishing village at Dubai Creek, nowadays Dubai presents itself as a glamorous metropolis in the Arabian Gulf. The distinctive skyscrapers and gigantic shopping malls will impress you.

Our journey beings with two stops. The first is the awe-inspiring Grande Jumeirah Mosque, the most photographed Mosque in Dubai. While having your own personal photo opportunity, hear a little of the history of the Mosque and its importance in this Muslim country. Next up is the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel, the world’s only 7-star hotel. Take a moment to capture the perfect shot for your social media pages and your memories.

If you thought Atlantis was only in Bahamas, we have a nice surprise for you. We’ll venture on the magnificent Palm Islands. At the crescent of the palm, lies the Atlantis hotel. We’ll stop briefly for another photo opportunity and then tour the new residential area of Jumeirah Beach.

Get a glimpse of the Dubai Mall [you’ll have some shopping time here later] and Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower and the centerpiece of the Gulf region’s most prestigious urban development to date.

The Burj Khalifa radiates out in a series of ellipses from the sky breaking tower encompassing residential, commercial, hotel, entertainment and the world’s largest shopping mall.

We continue on to Bastakyia, the old town district of Dubai. Discover the  local history and geography of the city when visiting the Dubai Museum, located in the ancient fortress of Al-Fahidi.

I love old Dubai. You’ll get a sense of what Dubai was like before the skyscrapers. We’ll jump on a local water taxis, called an “Abra”, to cross the Dubai Creek into the district of Deira. Here you will be enchanted by the large variety of exotic spices in the famous Spice Souk. Looking for some bling? Head over to the Gold Souk and shop till your hearts content. From silk and trinkets to gold and spices, you’ll find treasures of your own to bring home.

By this time, you’ll probably be ready for lunch. We’ll make our way back to the Dubai Mall to grab lunch. After lunch, you’ll have a bit of free time. We suggest some retail therapy. Shop till you drop or grab tickets to the Burj Khalifa for a ride to top.

Now that you’re a bit more acquainted with Dubai city, it’s time to head out to the Arabian desert. In the afternoon we will head out for a bit of adventure. After settling down in the 4WD vehicles, we will speed through the desert of the golden sand dunes for a bit of dune bashing. Trust us, you’ve not ever had this much fun before! Going up and down the dunes will provoke many shrieks and laughter. After our eh…ride, take a moment to enjoy the beauty of the desert as the sun sets. Peace, solitude, the ability to hear yourself breath. It’s the perfect time for a moment of reflection and of course a few photos.

As the sun sets, we’ll jump back in the 4WD and head to the main camp site. After witnessing the Arabian sunset with its glory and magic, a delicious barbecue dinner is prepared on open fires with a variety of beverages. The beat of the music increases as a Belly dancer starts dancing to the rhythm of the music. What better way to experience a true Arabian night than this. At this point you’ll surely agree, this was the best thing you could have ever done for yourself. Go ahead, pat yourself on the back for loving you enough.

Day 3

From Dubai to Sharjah to Mussandam & the Coast of the Indian Ocean

Road trip! You’ll want dress comfortably today because you’re hitting the road to Sharjah.

You’ll start the day with a great breakfast and conversation with the group about the fantastic day we had yesterday. We’ll start our journey with a 3-hour shopping trip at the Dubai Mall! Pick up something for the hubby, the kids, mom and dad. You don’t want them to think you weren’t thinking about them do you? Spoil YOURSELF with some Arabic fashion or shop the designers.

After 3-hours of shopping, you’ll welcome the long ride to Sharjah,“cultural capital of the Emirates.”  After a fantastic lunch in Sharjah, we’ll visit the Museum of Islamic Civilization, the first of its kind in the UAE. The Museum highlights the Islamic culture and features over 5,000 artifacts. Its most outstanding feature is its majestic, gilt central dome, decorated on the inside with an intricate mosaic depicting the night sky and the signs of the zodiac.

After a quick stroll in the museum, we’ll head to the East coast of UAE. On our way, we’ll pass through the agricultural area of Al Dhaid. The terrain changes from colorful desert landscape to spectacular mountain scenery. The coastline is scattered with small fishing villages, including the old village of Dibba, once a strategically important settlement, with a stunning view across the Indian Ocean.

Continuing along the coastline, we arrive at the oldest Mosque in the country. The Al Badiya Mosque was built in the 17th century. Welcome to the warm coasts of the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Oman. We’ll enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 4

Fujairah and Mussandam Cruise

Breakfast at your hotel.

While you may have only gotten a glimpse of the Gulf of Oman yesterday, today, head out for a cruise on a dhow. Mussandam is a spot where the waters of “Gulf of Oman” are the gateway to the natural sea treasures. The Musandam Peninsula is the northern-most part of Oman, it has one of the most rugged, isolated and beautiful coastlines in the world. The towering Hajar mountains rise directly out of the sea creating spectacular fjords-like scenery. Grab your camera to capture this awe-inspiring backdrop full of caves, bays and pebble beaches along the coast. A dhow trip in the fjords of Musandam offers an insight into this fantastic landscape creating an ambiance of peace and tranquility. Hint: Keep your camera ready. You may see dolphins. (Note : Please carry your passport along with you, as it is required for Police Check)

Enjoy a fantastic lunch onboard. The remainder of the day is yours to relax at the hotel and have dinner.

Day 5

Another fantastic breakfast at the hotel.

Have you noticed that you’re staying at a fabulous resort with a spa? Today it’s time for “you.” No rushing around, no tours, just you. Grab your kindle and head to the beach. Book a rejuvenating spa day to refresh your spirit. Spend some quality time connecting with the other ladies over a meal. Whatever you choose to do, make sure this day is all about you.

Day 6

Fujairah to Al Ain

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take a quick spin around Fujairah, visiting the Fujairah Museum. Say farewell as we head to the oasis city of Al Ain. After lunch with the locals, you’ll discover more of Al Ain, the green city located in the Hajjar Mountains. Al Ain is one of the oldest cities in the UAE, and very rich in tradition. For thousands of years the oasis of Al Ain has been an important caravan stop on the ancient trade routes across Arabia.

We’ll stop by the camel market which happens to be the largest in the UAE. Discover the Jahili Fort, one of the largest castles in Al Ain and a best-in-class example of the Islamic military architecture locally. We’ll tour the National Museum of Al Ain, where you will learn more about the history of this region.

Day 7

Al Ain to Abu Dhabi

Road trip! After breakfast, you’ll enjoy your final look at Al Ain as we depart to Abu Dhabi, the largest and the capital city of the United Arab Emirates.
The name Abu Dhabi means: “Father of the Gazelle.” Our first stop will be at Sheikh Zayed Grand mosque, one of the largest Mosques in the world, able to accommodate more than 30,000 worshipers. The beautiful Mosque is completely clad in marble and also features intricate Islamic decoration and carvings as well as extensive landscaping works. You’ve never seen architecture and beauty like this!
Continuing towards Abu Dhabi downtown you’ll pass through the old city or what we consider OLD today and pass by the oldest building in town, the Palace of Al-Husn. We’ll stop at the Heritage Village, which houses a small museum and depicts the traditional daily activities of the Arab community prior to the discovery of oil. We’ll enjoy lunch with the locals.
In the afternoon, we will drive along the spectacular Corniche, past gleaming white mosques, glass-clad offices and elegant high-rise apartments to the tip of the breakwater for a superb view of the city’s magnificent skyline.
We’ll stop at the famous Emirates Palace hotel,  which was built with an investment of 1 billion USD in 2005. We recommend enjoying a cup of tea while you’re there.
The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to driving through the famous giant Saadiyat Island project where the Louvre museum and  the Guggenheim museums are being built to complete the image of Abu Dhabi as a cultural city. Our tour of Abu Dhabi wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the famous Yas Island which houses the Formula 1 Yas circuit and the first attraction park of Ferrari in the world. It’s an impressive attraction, being the largest covered air conditioned park in the world with a huge RED FERRARI sign as landmark. Ever wonder how good you’d look behind the wheel of a red Ferrari?
Tonight, we’ll enjoy dinner in a traditional restaurant as we share our experiences and capture a few more photos with your new friends. Mezzes and grilled meat will be on the menu!

Day 9

Take some time to enjoy breakfast this morning.

As you prepare to head home, you’ll undoubtedly reflect upon all of the things you’ve learned and experienced. Was the culture of Dubai scary? Will you feel uneasy when you see a Muslim in the US? How did you cope being away from your husband, family and friends?

I suspect that by this time, you’ve found your wings. You understand more than ever the value of taking time for you. It doesn’t mean you love anyone less but it’s the ability to just breath… to not have to worry about dinner, the kids, the job. It’s just you and this big world. It’s you reconnecting with what matters the most. Go ahead and reflect on it. Meditate on it. Embrace the change. I’m so proud of you for doing this for you!

As this journey winds to a close, your airport transfer will take you back to the airport. Hold the memories in your heart and share them with your family and friends. Safe travels home beautiful!
