About

Hello!

it’s a pleasure to meet you

I still remember the day that the nurse practitioner walked into the exam room and said, “I’ve called an ambulance. They should be here shortly.” Panic ensued as I had no idea why an ambulance was on its way to pick me up from what should have been a routine exam.

She quietly explained that my blood pressure was 270/110 and the EKG showed that my heart had signs of damage. Within a few seconds, I was being wheeled out by paramedics from the Wellness Center at work.

At 30-something, this was not how I envisioned my life. I wasn’t a stranger to difficulty. I grew up in the Midwest in high-rise projects where 80% of the city’s crimes were committed. I was used to being knocked down. But I always got back up. Bruised and dirty. I always got back up.

Work had become a means to escape a life I didn’t love. What I didn’t anticipate is that being a workaholic could actually take me out for good. After I was released from the hospital with a handful of meds, I dusted myself off, again, and set a new course to create a life I loved. I wasn’t going to let this happen to me. And honestly, neither should you.

Travel became my life. I took a cruise to the Western Caribbean and something about being “out there” clicked with me. Life was so simple in Jamaica. Slow. Relaxed. As simplistic as it sounds, it was life-changing for a girl who thought vacation was going to a family member’s house in a quiet neighborhood in the suburbs.

From that day to this, I’ve traveled to many countries. I’m not counting them or trying to break any records. Instead, I want to change lives. I want to open doors to help you fulfill your wildest travel dreams.

SOME OF MY FAVORITE DESTINATIONS…

  1. A tiny island called Nevis. It’s the sister island to St. Kitts. It’s the most relaxing beach experience you’ll ever have. Stay at the Four Seasons or in a villa on Paradise Beach
  2. Antigua and Barbuda. Antigua is full of beautiful beaches and beautiful places to stay. I love staying at Blue Waters or Tamarind Hill.
  3. I fell completely in love with Italy. Anywhere in Italy. I secretly have an obsession with Michelangelo.
  4. Africa is my passion. I’ve visited South Africa, Kenya, and Morocco. I love them all. So many countries to see.

A visit to Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a must. It’s an orphan elephant rescue organization in Nairobi. They do good work. They only allow so many visitors each day. Once the elephants are older, they release them back into the wild.
